The Women’s Learning Partnership produced From Fear to Freedom: Ending Violence Against Women in 2012. Partnering with 20 independent organizations globally, the WLP has worked on issues ranging from violence against women, citizenship equality, family law, and human rights.
The From Fear to Freedom videos were produced as a means to highlight the prevalence of violence committed against women globally. The video also gives specific examples of how women around the world are coming together to influence new legislation and strategies to combat and end violence against women. From Fear to Freedom analyzes causes of the violence committed and shows encouraging accounts of achievements that have already been made in the struggle to eradicate violence.
All videos are recorded in spoken English, but subtitled versions are posted in Arabic, Farsi, French, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, and Urdu. They are all posted here. Please access the videos by hovering the mouse over the DV Videos tab at the top of this page. The menu will open showing a link to each video.
